nissi1 Posted April 21, 2008 Good afternoon, On the 17th of this month I uninstalled SAS in order to reinstall the updated version. To my surprise, during the installation I received an alert from Windows Defender with the following information: Description: ...potential unwanted behavior Advice: ...permit if you trust program/softwear publisher Resources: driver: SASENUM file: c:\program... Also another entry showing regkey and runkey. I find this unusual since I have only had one alert from Windows Defender in the past 12 months and this alert did not appear when I initially installed SAS. Although I installed SAS, I am now wondering if this is something to be concern about. Thank you, Nissi1
SUPERAntiSpy Posted April 21, 2008 That's one of our drivers......Windows Defender is simply alerting you of the installation.
nissi1 Posted April 22, 2008 Thank you for your reply. There was additional information I attempted to add when I edited the post which included 2 other drivers: SASKITUL and SASDISFV. Further reading indicated a publisher did not sign the file with a certificate from a trusted window source. Again is this something to be concerned about? Thank you. May God continue to richly bless you and your love ones, Nissi1
SUPERAntiSpy Posted April 22, 2008 The drivers are fine, those are only warnings in the event log.
