Maurice Nagger MS-MVP

Recommended Posts

:D Hi :

Recently I was on the forums at www.aumha.net and was surprised

when Moderator Maurice Nagger MS-MVP recommended to a Poster

that SUPERantispyware be "ditched" ( "uninstalled" ) ; would you

like to respond to his recommendation at :

http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=21516 ?

I have seen Nick post several times on the Wildersecurity forums

and this might be a similar situation !?

P.S. I have wondered about the seemingly lack of request for help

on this forum as contrasted with other antispyware forums !?

Thank you for alerting us of that thread. Our forums are actually quite new and we typically handle our support directly one on one with the user through our Customer Service center here:

https://www.superantispyware.com/support.html

We are always happy to answer questions posted here also. Typically users seem to feel that a vendors forums may be "biased" as they are controlled by the vendor so that is why Nick is active in other reputable forums such as Wilders, CastleCops, DslReports, etc.

I read the thread at aumha that SpiritWind is referring to.

The same individual who recommended "ditching" SAS then recommended using CCleaner to remove the SUPPOSED keylogger....

Hew also referred the poster to their "quickfix" page.....

This user then responded that they don't know how to open Killbox because it's a zip file.

I've used Killbox before and it's a very valuable tool but it can also wreak havoc on a system if you don't know how to use it.

Not to impugn the person requesting help but if they're not knowledgable enough to unzip a file then methinks they should'nt be looking for help at that particular site.....

hi SpiritWind :)

I'm not personally sure what Maurice Nagger's problem is with SAS but judging by other posts by himself and other "experts" at the forum in concern there certainly is a an agenda at play present.

I doubt very much he will answer the OP's question @ the link you supplied and even if he did i highly doubt that he could supply anything of substance apart from personal opinion to warrant ditching SAS.

That said SAS has been well received at the vast majority of security forums. Most normal security aware folks appreciate a free software that works well :)
