  1. Ok, I have the Lifetime Subscription of SAS and when I right-click and go into Properties, I have differences. I have 1 yearly subscription and this is what I get in Properties- System, Computer Name, Administrators, Interactive (This equals the checkmark that is on Properties- >) (I have no checkmarkon my keyboard) Full Control >, > Modify >, > Read & Execute >, >, > Read >, >, > Write >, > Special Permissions > This is my Lifetime Properties readout- System, Computer Name, Administrators, Interactive (There is no Interactive on this one) Full Control >, >, > Modify >, >, > Read & Execute >, >, > Read >, >, > Write >, >, > Special Permissions All of these checkmarks are of the 'Allow" type. Today I downloaded the Free version and I had the same properties as the second one above. My concerns are that when I check all of my other icons they all come up as the first one above shows. I have tried over and over and over to go in and change the permissions in my Lifetime Subscription but it won't let me. I was hacked a few weeks back and I do believe that this could be the problem, but not totally sure here. I am at a loss as to what these mean and do, but I know that this isn't right being as all of my other icons do not look like this. TIA, chico... Sorry if I am missing anything, but I think I got everything here. If not just let me know please. My yearly subscription has like 5 days left, so I need to decide what to do from here. It is my Lifetime that seems to be messed up though...
  2. No problem at all. Here is the proper link that I should have posted before, but my brain is just a fart away from exploding- ))) Hmmm, I tried to give the proper link that Adobe has to update every different type of system, but it only let's me put in the Adobe home page. dammit Jim- :PPP This link will lead you to what type of system and such that you need to update. Peace...
  3. Update: I forgot to let you know that kasp... was not installed. I just was trying options is all. I could not remove this so I ran nod32 and it showed that I had wat too many corruptions. That nod32 even found AVG10 that I couldn't find in my PC for weeks, and Kasp found it but could not remove it. After the System Recovery things are good; knock on wood. I use Windows 7 HP 2009 by the way. I have never ran a System Recovery without a flash or a cd, but with Windows 7 it was as smooth as heck. The kasp.. sandbox is gone also. Just a note for those who use Adobe's products; they are hit with something bad today and have an update to help curb the error. They are saying that there is no fix yet, but to update until they can fix this issue. I think that's what got me personally, but not totally sure. I ran another scan a bit ago, and I had a bunch of flash cookies in there. This is when I went to Adobe to see what's up. Here is the link for adobe- http://www.adobe.com/support/security/advisories/apsa10-05.html Sorry if I am not supposed to put this here, but Many people are having major problems today and maybe this could help some people. Again, thanks for the advice and Great Company that SAS is.

This is happening every time I reinstall SAS also. Also, when I am installing SAS (in all of the possible downloadable spots) my SAS icon comes up but doesn't completely show up. Is this related to this reocurring Kaspersky thing? TIA, chico...
  5. "what makes you think I have any Norton program installed" lolol, A lot of retailers/computer companies will put Norton in the PC's as a main virus protector. That just drives me crazy, but life is life- I just assumed that it was on your PC is all. Later gator...
  6. Yes, uninstall it and reinstall...
  7. I use the Lifetime Subscription of Superantispyware, and the free version of Malwarebytes... Cheap and Very effective... $29.95 for a Lifetime- Awesome!!!
  8. Go into Help and Support and type in Windows Defender. Open it and use it Always. Pin it to your taskbar if you feel the need. It makes for easier access. Join Microsoft SpyNet also. Using Windows Defender will increase the speed, but I hope this makes the difference. Installing Superantispyware shouldn't slow things down, so maybe download malwarebytes.org and see if you have anything virus-wise that Super.. didn't pick up. I have the Lifetime for Superantispyware and use the free version of malwarebytes... Can't go wrong with these 2 Great products.
  9. Just get the Lifetime because it is only $29.95. Yearly members have to pay x amount every year, which costs more in the long run. Every year I Do donate $10 or more to keep this place alive and well.
  10. No worries about this becuase Windows 7 comes with a set of adware programs that they feel as we should use. Superantispyware is Not one of them. First of all, uninstall Norton from your PC. They are junk anyways. Next, click on Start> Help and Support> type- Action Center> scroll down and open Action Center> click Security> under Virus Protection turn off messages about virus protection. This may do the trick, but only time will tell. I am not a tech person, but I did this to eliminate your problem that you are having.
  11. Hello there, I have used Vista for 2 years, and 3 months ago I bought Windows 7. Windows 7 is a little quicker and, overall, there are a few less buttons to push also. Windows 7 has a few new cool features, such as scrolling across the toolbar, and you can manually (with your fingers on the screen) move pages. I don't use it, but friends of mine who work for a college and are really busy say that Windows 7 enables them to work with more and quicker if that makes any sense. My overall thoughts- They are both quality, but Windows 7 is a tad bit neater to work with. Chico... One last note- I did get a virus within 2 weeks of owning the Windows 7, so we will always have that problem once in a while. Of course SAS figured it out I will add...
  12. Hello there, Today I went to run SAS and instead of my regular SAS I received a screen that says, "Evaluation Period Expired". I uninstlled SAS, but it didn't leave my Programs. I fiddled and faddled and I got SAS to work, but then I tried to run SAS in Safe Mode and after I restarted my computer the same- Evaluation Period Expired is back. I paid my bill in MArch of '09, so my year isn't up- Lifetime member actually. I sent 2 diagnostic reports- 1 through Super Ad Blocker and SAS. What next TIA, Chico Update: When a new page opens I hear a trumpet noise, and when I am moving my cursor around a red circle with the red slash through the middle of it- Ghost Busters symbol if you will. Do I have a bug? Thanks so much, chico... a $50 donation if you can fix it- Really... Another update: I unplugged my computer and my modem for 10 minutes, plugged them back in, and everything is well at this point.
  13. Yes, we are setting up a sub-forum for SUPERAdBlocker. See why I am a Lifetime customer. You people DO cater and care about others. SAS RULES!!!
  14. Hello and thanks for the fast reply. Don't take me wrong, as I may have sounded mad or something. I have been through the ropes in fighting off previous adware/spyware; 2 new hard drives and 1 new computer in the past. Ever since I have been with SAS, I have had minor issues and have been taken care of by SAS. Maybe this is why I panicked. My understanding of new viruses coming constantly is that no virus company can be perfect. Like school- Always learning. My latest scan which was a quick scan- SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log https://www.superantispyware.com Generated 11/01/2009 at 12:28 PM Application Version : 4.29.1004 Core Rules Database Version : 4218 Trace Rules Database Version: 2122 Scan type : Quick Scan Total Scan Time : 00:22:26 Memory items scanned : 577 Memory threats detected : 0 Registry items scanned : 553 Registry threats detected : 0 File items scanned : 21489 File threats detected : 0 If you need more just let me know, and a BIG thanks for this GREAT company. I have 1 stupid question- I see how other people cut and paste their computer's system information. How do I do that just in case I ever need to do this Thanks so much...
