  1. If I bring up IE, IE uses 100% CPU.

So what did you expect ?:lol: Sorry - couldn't resist

I would suggest going to the Processes and figuring out the process that is taking up most of the CPU time. It may be some process that is being called for each of these applications - though top of my head I cannot figure out what it can be. And be sure to view processes for all users.

  2. Maybe an old post - but I am running real-time on 64 bit Vista - did not get any errors in Event logs. Installs in Program Files (x86) as all 32 bit applications should - and runs perfectly fine. Tested with two links xyz360400 provided (https://forums.superantispyware.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2827) for real time detection.

You have 2 safe options that I know of:

    * Trojan Simulator. SAS should hit on it as you execute it, before it even installs.

    * BlueScreen Screensaver by MS Sysinternals. SAS should hit on this one AFTER execution because it isn't really malware (and isn't supposed to be like Trojan Simulator) but is sometimes used by malware makers to convince users that their systems are experiencing BSOD's.

  3. O/S: Windows Vista Home Premium

I received the notification for update (auto-update) and started doing the update from 4.26.1002 -> 1004. Of course the first message I got was I needed to be an Admin - which is allright, I started SAS as Admin and started auto-update. Looked like everything went fine, I was asked to reboot - which I did. And when SAS came up again, it is still v 1002 :!:

So, had to pursue the manual update route - download, uninstall and reinstall  That works great - only issue is digging out the registration code so that it can be registered again (which myself adhering to such nice orderliness  is an ordeal in itself). So, question, is there a way to uninstall SAS but still maintain the registration info, so I don't have to search for it?
