no one still has offered help

Well i could fast scan my computer in under 30 minutes. it found a few viruses and said it will remove on reboot. i hit ok and everythings fine. i try to scan again to make sure everything is gone and the scanner is taking hours just to finish the memory scan which used to take me just minutes or less. any ideas to this?
