  1. Yesterday, I ran a full scan on an old Toshiba Satellite notebook/laptop with Windows 98 SE with the latest and updated SAS. It found: SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log https://www.superantispyware.com Generated 09/13/2008 at 11:40 PM Application Version : 4.21.1004 Core Rules Database Version : 3565 Trace Rules Database Version: 1553 Scan type : Complete Scan Total Scan Time : 01:42:31 Memory items scanned : 136 Memory threats detected : 0 Registry items scanned : 2939 Registry threats detected : 0 File items scanned : 27364 File threats detected : 99 Adware.Tracking Cookie [snipped many Firefox cookies] Trojan.FakeAlert-Gen/Variant C:\PROGRAM FILES\REAL\REALPLAYER\PNMI3260.DLL Trojan.Unclassified-Packed/Suspicious C:\PROGRAM FILES\IRFANVIEW\PLUGINS\ECW\NCSECW.DLL I scanned these two files online with three scanners (VirusTotal, VirusScan, and virus.org) and all came clean. I reran the scan on my Windows XP Pro. SP2 with the copied files from the notebook/laptop, and they were clean too. I even rebooted and ran updates to be sure. I did let SAS send the two DLL files to report FPs. What's going on? Thank you in advance.
  2. Yes, both methods. I already mentioned the version for KPF (v2.1.5). I don't think it corrupts. I am just not sure why I get that error when removing SAS.
  3. Hi! Everytime I uninstall SAS Free to upgrade to the newer version, I see this in my Windows XP Pro. SP2/SP3's taskbar: "Windows - Fatal Application Exit -- Kerio Personal Firewall Driver: AppendFragmentToLongPath: GetLongFileName error: C000000F, File: SUPERANTISPYWARE.EXE" ... I took a screen shot: http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/9223 ... oneym5.gif This happen in previous versions of SAS too (e.g., v3.9). What's up? Thank you in advance.
  4. Ah. Yes, I also disbled the system tray icon. It's a bug.
  5. I found a way to upgrade. I had to download the 6 MB standalone installer, the old version uninstalled, and installed the new one. A bit annoying since I had to reconfigure my settings.
  6. It was v4.2 through the update notification.
  7. "You must stop the scan and close the SUPERAntiSpyware main screen before updating." says my SAS v4.15.1000 Free. I wanted to upgrade to v4.20.0.1046 with the updater (got the notification). What's up? This happened on two of my XP Pro. SP2 machines.
