  1. Version 5.0 reflects real-time status in the tray icon
  2. The Shell Excute Hook and the Winlogon processor are BOTH used by the Free Edition of SUPERAntiSpyware. By removing and/or disabling those extensions/files you are limiting the ability of SUPERAntiSpyware to remove spyware (even the Free Edition). We have NO HIDDEN entries, nothing is blocked from access or discovery.
  3. This was resolved earlier this AM, make sure you have the lastest definition files. Thanks for the report!
  4. SUPERAntiSpy

    Help!

What repair did you run? As a side note, Black XP appears to be a hacked version of Windows - that's likely where the problem is stemming from - if your computer shop put that on there, you should demand a legal version of Windows!
  5. While incremental updates will be a nice feature in the future, detecting and removing malware/spyware remains our highest priority - our definitions are quite small <4MB (thus much lighter than other products) so incremental updates wouldn't benefit our users as much other features and product enhancements. Incremental updates is on our list, but won't be available with the first 5.0 release.
  6. We won't have incremental updating in 5.0, but the definitions (new compression and technology) are over 30% smaller, which means faster downloads, less bandwidth and improved performance. We are testing the pre-release in-house now and will be releasing to select memebers for testing then public pre-release will follow.
  7. - The registratoin information is saved between updates unless you uninstall and re-install - If you have UAC on and and application is performing an admin elevated task UAC prompts - that's the purpose of it - All settings are saved unless you fully uinstall and re-install (you can elect to not clear the settings, FYI) - We have no toolbar, so not sure what you are installing (?) - If you are referring to the forum, only a user for admin can set your avatar - you can edit your profile and remove it As far as your comment - our software is more up to date than many other security products on the market i.e. real 64-bit and 32-bit versions, etc
  8. You should update to the last 4.48.1000 product, FYI. Did you provide an e-mail when you did the false positive report?
  9. What version of SUPERAntiSpyware are you installing?
  10. 4.47.1000 is the current and only release available. 4.90 was an older pre-release.
  11. BootSafe isn't updated to support Windows 7 as of yet.
  12. Our dll uses little memory and certainly will not slow down your system
  13. When we migrated the forum last year the birthdays all got reset.
  14. What specifically was not detected? We are not an anti-virus product and never have claimed to remove viruses - we focus on spyware, malware, adware, trojans , root kits, etc
  15. If for some reason we don't fully remove it, submit a support request and we'll run a diagnostic and get it removed.
  16. You need to download and install our 4.47 version of SUPERAntiSpyware. The 4.90 was an old pre-release.
  17. I believe CNET will review our 5.0 version, we are working with them to ensure that happens!
  18. Why does there need to be an announcement? You should always be running the latest version to ensure maximum protection!
  19. They have been selling MBAM, Adaware and a few others for almost a year now, we finally got listed in holiday specials. They tend to focus on things from which they make money.
  20. Please post the latest scan log here for review.
  21. We don't understand it either - we are in talks with them to resolve their obvious oversight.
  22. I am glad you posted and it's ok to ask us why something was missed - simple answer - no single solution can (or ever will) be able to detect everything on a given day. When these customers had the problem (you claim you had to "go back twice" for each of them), did you know you can contact us so we can run a diagnostic and see what was missed? (You can do this anytime!) That's a service we offer our resellers and customers. Are these customers running an anti-virus product as well? SUPERAntiSpyware is NOT a replacement for an anti-virus solution - you need both - anti-virus and anti-spyware. You do realize that if you "pay for another solution for your customer" that guarantees nothing, right? What version of the product and definitions are these customers running? Was real-time protect enabled?
