  2. SUPERAntiSpyware detect GPU-Z Uninstall.exe is PUP on 11598 database please fix! Virustotal.com result >>> https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/dd30619ce69862f678b506ceb49118c7913f25605c8522abf909e312ebefea47/analysis/1415478632/
  3. That will void his warranty if he still have some left. I would recommend you talk to your manufacture and tell them you need replacement or RMA your laptop because is overheating. Also, i recommend you do some couple of anti-malware scan before you reformat your os.
  4. Or it could be his laptop overheating sorta. Iobit product contains virus if i remember since in the past i have ESET Smart Security suite and then i download the iobit update and somehow ESET said is contain viruses. Also, my best guess for him is to reformat his os so he can start from the scratch if he already done the advanced systemcare scan and allow it to fix. Never use any registry cleaner tools or defragment because if there something wrong with your registry then you will have a big time.
  5. Good to hear you got your computer back up and running! For your security purposes i highly recommends Emsisoft Anti-Malware for your antivirus because this software detects 98% - 99% and being rated as advanced+ on AV Comparative testing lab organization and somehow is managed to beat Kaspersky and Bitdefender which is shocked me as well. Unfortunately, this software is paid version and is only cost $40 for 1 year and you can choose two different versions which is antivirus or internet security suite and both of them cost the same price!. Just a little side note that Emsisoft is dual scanner engines, one of them is Emsisoft Anti-Malware engine which is superior than MalwareBytes engine, and the other is Bitdefender Antivirus engine, so that will lock you down for sure.
  6. Okay, let me guess you download PUPs application and then you came here to complain SAS not able to detect PUPs? Have you check scan for unwanted programs when you perform a scan? Matter of fact, AVG should prevent PUPs get on your system when you runs the downloader. Avast can detect PUPs so my best guess is to uninstall AVG and get AVAST 2015 free. Also for your cleaning removal, 152 PUPs is a lot and some of them might contains spyware that you don't even know, so i recommends you to download AdwCleaner, Emsisoft Emergency kit, and HitmanPro to check up on your system. Just a little side not, AVG have a symptom that let users install malicious software and then detect them, and that's why i recommend you install AVAST because AVASt unlike AVG that can detect malicious and unwanted software when you click "download" or "installing" button from the site or when you click save or run.
  7. I recommend you download MalwareBytes,HitmanPro,Emsisoft Emergency Kit,and AdwCleaner to scan your PC, and remember no single software will able detect anything that is why other people install on demand scanner tools such as malwarebytes and hitmanpro to check and made sure their main antivirus doesn't miss detect anything. Also for your situation i believe all the tools i listed will able to remove this hijacker browser and you won't know it until you ran the scan.
  8. The SASCore service is the only service that will give you software update notification every time you runs SAS. So my bet is to allow SAS core service start and set it to automatically and there will be no software update message every time you runs SAS. I tried it and I found out that when I disable the service it will give me software update message every time I runs SAS, and after that I switch it back to automatically and start the service it no longer give me software update. Go to service > SASCore server > Start and set it to start automatically.
  9. Waiting for a week and did not receive SAS 6.0.1158 version update. Right now I am currently running SAS FREE 6.0.1146 with 11539 database. So when the SAS 6.0.1158 go live?
  10. So to sum it up, AdwCleaner from bleepingcomputer.com is safe? And virustotal.com result of AdwCleaner is false positive?
  11. But how come virustotal.com result show 2/55 of AdwCleaner?
  12. Is AdwCleaner on Bleepingcomputer.com safe?
  13. Weird, because my SAS Free never use more than 50% if it not scanning, also can you make sure that there is no other program or software running in the background that using amount of huge CPU usage?
  14. Well, you need to turn off Windows defender real time and uncheck turn on this app before installing Avast! and that is what I am doing first before installing AV.
  15. I have Avast! Pro Antivirus(Real time protection enable) + MalwareBytes Antimalware FREE(on demand scan) + SAS FREE(On demand scan). Also @bigfan_24 You can't uninstall Windows Defender because is part of Microsoft built in security tools.
  16. /Topic close, I receive my update and the installing went smooth no trouble at all! Thanks for @bigfan_24 and @GuiltySpark for helping me out! P.S: Why the **** does it take so long for me to receive this update?
  17. Turn off Windows defender and get AVAST FREE Antivirus, also I recommend run AVAST with real time protection as for SAS I use free version for on demand scan because if one missed catch then the other one will able to catch it. Using more than 1 antivirus with real time protection enable will cause system conflict because each one of them fighting over to see who is going to perform this action and they will use a lot of system resources. Also here is the quote from Bleepingcomputer.com. If you use SAS as on demand scan I recommend you download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as well. "Choosing a security toolkit with anti-virus, firewall and anti-malware programs is a matter of personal preference, your technical ability and experience, features offered, the amount of resources utilized, how it may affect system performance and what will work best for your system. A particular combination that works well for one person may not work as well for another. There is no universal "one size fits all" solution that works for everyone. You may need to experiment and find what is most suitable for your needs. Another factor to consider is whether you want to use paid for products or free alternatives. No single product is 100% foolproof and can prevent, detect and remove all threats at any given time. The security community is in a constant state of change as new infections appear. Each vendor has its own definition of what constitutes malware and scanning your computer using different criteria will yield different results. The fact that each program has its own definition files means that some malware may be picked up by one that could be missed by another. Thus, a multi-layered defense using several anti-spyware products (including an effective firewall) to supplement your anti-virus combined with common sense and safe surfing habits provides the most complete protection. As a general rule, using more than one anti-spyware program like Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, SuperAntispyware, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, etc will not conflict with each other or your anti-virus if using only one of them for real time protection and others as stand-alone scanners. In fact, doing so increases your protection coverage without causing the same kind of conflicts or affecting the stability of your system that can occur when using more than one anti-virus. The overlap of protection from using different signature databases will aid in detection and removal of more threats when scanning your system for malware. However, if using all their real-time resident shields (TeaTimer, Ad-Watch, MBAM Protection Module, Spyware Terminator Shields, etc) together at the same time, there can be conflicts when each application tries to compete for resources and exclusive rights to perform an action. Additionally, competing tools may even provide redundant alerts which can be annoying and/or confusing." I get this quote from bleeping computer thread >>>> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/311606/is-it-a-good-idea-to-run-avast-and-malwarebytes-real-time-protection-at-the-same-time/
  18. A week for that? That **** is too long bro, also why they don't respond or replied a message on my ticket?! I been waiting for 48 hours yet no respond from them and on the website it say only 24 hours!
  19. Okay, how long am I going to wait for the SAS 6.0.1146? I just did check for update today and it say no update available and I also try disable core service to let SAS check for new products update and yet none and I also did submit ticket about this issue on Saturday around 7 - 8PM and yet today is Sunday 8 - 9PM that is when the time I log in to my pc and check for the mail and yet NO RESPOND FROM THEM? AND ON THE WEBSITE IS SAY I HAVE TO WAIT FOR 24HOUR TO GET RESPOND FROM THEM AND WHERE IS THE RESPOND FROM MY TICKET?! I am using SAS Version 6.0.1130 with Database 11503. Also, if I have to do uninstalling and installing steps when the new SAS version become available ,I think I will pass with that because I don't have time for that and I thought the update is supposed to check for new database and new product update. But no just only the database.
  20. Do I have to do this everytime there is a program update? I mean seriously so the update settings is just for definitions update not both definition + program update? Also, why I have to download uninstall tools were I just gonna uninstall directly from add/remove and after that reinstall new one?
  21. Okay, My SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition Version is 6.0.1130 and then I click check for update is say 1)Authenticating Connection = Complete green check mark 2)Check for Definition Updates = Complete green check mark and Definitions are Up To Date = Complete green check mark . However, when I go to website it say SAS Version : 6.0.1146, so how come the check for update doesn't update my SAS version?
  22. Okay, guys I just installed the latest SAS(SuperAntiSpyware) Free Edition on their website which is v6 and after I install it I went to System Tools > Prefences(Configure general program settings) > I uncheck Start SuperAntiSpyware With Windows, Show splash screen on startup, run SuperAntiSpyware in the background,Enable Right click file options in Explorer and Disable anonymous threat reporting. However, after I uncheck all of them under the general configuration and I restart my pc and then open task manager and under task manager I see SAS(SuperAntiSpyware) core service even though I did not open or run SuperAntiSpyware and the GENERAL QUESTION IS SHOULD I DISABLE OR ENABLE SUPERANTISPYWARE CORE SERVICE AND WILL THIS CONFLICT TO AVAST? THE REASON OF THIS IS I WANT TO USE SUPERANTISPYWARE FOR ON DEMAND SCAN ONLY. ALSO THE FREE EDITION DID NOT COME WITH REAL TIME PROTECTION. SO SHOULD I ENABLE OR DISABLE SUPERANTISPYWARE CORE SERVICE? WILL THIS CONFLICT TO AVAST PRO ANTIVIRUS? By the way, i'm the new member of this forums so if I do something wrong please correct me.
