  1. Give me until Tonight (At work atm) I have XP & Win 7 in a VB and will be glad to test it,
  2. I am in no way an affiliate of SUPERAntiSpyware. I receive nothing. I do recommend this on my web site, front page listing http://vmsar.wordpress.com/ My way of giving something back, Thank You SAS
  3. Since AVG is known for False Positives, a virus check would be in order VirusTotal-----http://www.virustotal.com/ Click the Choose File button Navigate to the RecycleBin and locate the file in question. UPload to VirusTotal and it will check it. NOTE: If malicious in nature, RecycleBin can be simply emptied
  4. Hello mdoerner, If SUPERAntiSpyware is installed, but you are unable to launch the program, then please try each of these methods in the following order until the program launches: Launch the program through the SUPERAntiSpyware Alternate Start shortcut in the SUPERAntiSpyware program folder in your Start Menu. Rename C:\program files\SUPERAntiSpyware\SUPERAntiSpyware.exe to C:\program files\SUPERAntiSpyware\explorer.exe and try launching the explorer.exe program. Download the RUNSAS.exe program and launch it. If none of the previous steps allowed you to launch SUPERAntiSpyware, then please download and launch SASSAFERUN.COM. This program can be copied to USB Flash drives or other external media and run directly from there. NOTE: The preferred scans for both SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes' are Quick Scans. These are designed to search in files/folders known to harbor malware. Please let us know the results from the above suggestion. Thank You
  5. Hello MeWho, How long do your licenses last? Each license lasts one (1) year. For other options, please see >> HERE <<
  6. Hello Nancybmn, w32/blaster.Worm (Symantec detection) is a network worm that can spread to a computer running Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP that does not have Security Update MS03-026 installed. It performs a denial of service (DoS) attack against windowsupdate.com, if the day of the month is greater than 15 or if the month is greater than 8.This threat has been covered by all Antivirus software companies and eradicated in 2007. Questions before we continue: Do you have windows XP Does it have the SP2 or SP3 update installed NOTE: Windows XP with only the SP2 update, stopped receiving updates from MS as of April of last year
  7. Hello pstein. Please follow these instructions: Download the Scanner Click the SAVE button when prompted. If you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer then prompt may be different. Wait for the Scanner to Download The scanner will download in just a few seconds 4. Copy the Scanner to a USB/CD or other media to use on the infected system. Copy the scanner to the media of your choice so you can run it on the infected system. This is done by drop and drag. If you double click the installer package, of course it is going to install Please note : The scanner is saved under a random filename so that malware infections won't block the scanner.
  8. Hi again LeeAnne, Great, glad to hear it all worked out. I wouldn't hold this against SAS. A lot of these type's of distractions are user installed. A lot of free software comes bundled with other software(Usually PUP"s). And most users rush through the install. Any time you install anything, do a custom install. That way you can see what is being installed
  9. Hello LeeAnne, The following tutorial was for Babylon Toolbar, but can be used for snap.do(Both are browser hijackers/adware) Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer are covered in this tutorial http://mzl.la/UoMznp The link above will display instructions automatically customized for your operating system and language. After you reset your browsers, it is highly suggested to use AdwCleaner, as outlined in the tutorial above. When finished, do a follow up scan with SAS. NOTE: AdwCleaner is a run once type of program, if needed in the future, download a fresh copy
  10. Thank You for that update ElpoJohn, That information should be posted here at the forum. How do I uninstall IE 10?
  11. Hello Elpojohn, Please see " Is SUPERAntiSpyware compatible with my web browser? " Everything works fine here with Windows 7 and IE 10. If your having a specific issue, then please let us know
  12. Hello dahkleyn, Win32/Zbot is by no means a False Positive, very much Malware. Some malware has the ability to move exe files(Hides them) to avoid detection. Please do no cleaning until your system can be cleaned. Doing so could delete important windows files 1st Option: Following the instructions at SUPERAntiSpyware Threat Check 2nd Option: Available assistance for Possible Infected Computers 3rd Option: Preparation Guide For Use Before Using Malware Removal Tools and Requesting Help
  13. @ douglas9, BrowserJavaVersion: 1.6.0_31=Outdated Present version is Version 7, update 21 It would be interesting to see your DDS log with " If you wish to scan all of them, select the 'Force scan all domains' option." If you decide to post, please include the Attach.txt
  14. Hello sandman32, Quarantine is a function of antivirus software (In this case, SUPERAntiSpyware) that isolates infected files on a computer's hard disk. Files put in quarantine are no longer capable of infecting their hosting system. Nor is it a common task of removing them. SAS removes files after 30 days(Default setting)
  15. Hello Nikilet, Please see SUPERAntiSpyware will not run when my computer starts or when I double-click it. To be sure there are no conflicts between Avast, Mbam or SAS(However rare, it does happen) set these exclusions in Avast, Mbam and SAS SAS can be set in Preferences>>Scanning Control>>Manage Allowed Items & Manage Excluded Folders
  16. Try adding AVG"s files to SUPERAntiSpyware's " Manage Excluded Folders " list under Preferences>>Scanning Control. Once these have been added, try a Quick Scan to see if the issue is still there
