SAS downloads the same def. updates.

Sorry, I don't know how to do that. I just tried to update again and the database version is 11441 but it's the same definitions as before. Well, like you said hopefully this will be resolved on Mon. Thanks so much for your quick response. -T. Nerve84
  2. I just installed version 6 of SAS free and since then it seems to keep downloading the same database definition updates everyday. Sometimes it will say that the definitions are up to date and other times it will download the same database version that it already has days before. The database version is 11436, dated 8-13-2014. Why doesn't SAS notice that it's downloading the same thing over and over again? Are there new definitions that I'm unable to download for some reason? Is it possible to get these definitions after this problem has been resolved? Please help. -T. Nerve84

    UNABLE TO SCAN

I tried this and it didn't work. I also tried adding AVG to the "Excluded Folders" in SAS preferences as suggested in this forum topic: http://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php?/topic/4919-anyone-having-issues-with-avg/?hl=%2Bstops+%2Bscanning#entry22253 which also failed. Can anyone help please? -T.nerve84

Unable to complete SAS scan; hangs at a particular spot

I'm having the same problem except my SAS hangs up at a different spot everytime. This topic suggested that I uncheck "Kernel Direct" and "Direct Disk Access" in SAS "Scanning Control Preferences". http://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php?/topic/4876-unable-to-scan/?hl=%2Bunable+%2Bscan When that didn't work I tried to add the AVG directory to the "Excluded Folders" in SAS perferences as it was suggested in this topic: http://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php?/topic/4919-anyone-having-issues-with-avg/?hl=%2Bstops+%2Bscanning#entry22253 The only thing I haven't tried yet, is uninstalling SAS and reinstalling it which I'd rather not do. Can anyone help? -T.nerve84

    Question about scans

Hi, SUPERAntiSpy Does that mean I should update SuperAntiSpyware on all user accounts daily to make sure the definitions are up to date and scan the account that I use most often daily? Also, if I update SuperAntiSpyware on my Administrator account do I need to update it in my Standard user account also, or is it all the same? Thanks so much for your help. T. nerve84
