  1. Yea sorry about that I am surprised though that a lot of the windows system files are rated as unknown, I would've thought they would've been accepted as known good from the start. I suppose it can be difficult when a file path is along the lines of %windows%xxx//xxxx-blah as they could be temp files and therefore possible malware but aren't they digitally signed?
  2. Well that's the Up-voted comments, now where's the Down-voted comments? I know I've said plenty of crap about Adobe and their Flash Player not to mention Adobe Air. Why don't you get a full list of users comments? I'm pretty sure not too many people would've left anything.
  3. Have you tried uploading it to VirusTotal as it may be a FP?
  4. Depends on your browser setup and which sites you visit, some sites have no cookies others like the news sites have a ton. Your browser may also be designed to delete cookies automatically or open in private mode, either way the cookies aren't a major problem.
  5. I'm sure Gabe could give more details on this but 18 / 65 reputable engines detect it https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/c10cf4f651aa495e7adc05f06dcda84ace01fe5c80d21d2de5afa8ebf59c866b/detection it's not detected as a virus but a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program).
  6. It's very difficult to know what was detected without moving that overlay box to see if it was mostly tracking cookies or if they were genuine threats (malware related), but SAS does / should have a Quarantine folder with a list of removed items so they can be restored, maybe??? www.superantispyware.com/supportfaqdisplay.html?faq=57 check the link for more info.
  7. Hi jadinolf You can submit the result and the team should be able to find what's causing it. Incidentally, is there anything in event viewer?
  8. Then that's probably why nothing is getting detected, I have a similar setup with Pale Moon browser. Just make sure you are using an AV in conjunction with SAS as they may search for different things.
  9. Not sure about cool themes for Invision but there may be something here in the demo ; https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/8421-surface-dark/ just select the themes at the bottom of the demo, colour scheme might need tweaking though.
  10. It could be that there is / are no problems to find. Are tracking cookies still detected?
  11. Is there a dark theme that can be selected, this new theme is a little too bland for me...too much white space.
  12. Hi Dunexx Please create a support ticket www.superantispyware.com/precreateticket.html Thanks
  13. Sounds like you did a Factory Reset, this would bring back all previous files / programs that were on the system when bought new. Check your user account to see if you are classed as User, Guest, or Administrator.
  14. I have no answer to that there are too many variables that could be in place, it's something that only you can see so you would have to keep an eye on it to see if it happens again. One place to check however, is the EventViewer, this would display errors that may have occurred and might shed some light on the issue.
  15. 2 things to try. 1. Restart your computer. A simple restart can do wonders to reset things. 2. Check that the bug icon in the task bar is showing and see if you can click it.
  16. Sorry to hear this cfowler, can you try to update via this method ; www.superantispyware.com/definitions.html Edit Seems like you posted the same thing on MBAM forums, a problem with your system or just spam??? https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/204129-unable-to-connect-the-service-please-help/
  17. Not sure what they were referring to in Firefox plugin, the only thing I can think of was the old superadblocker but I didn't think that even existed anymore (I could be wrong). If they used the SAS program however, it will remove cookies and cache files if asked to, maybe the repair shop allowed it to remove all of those without consulting you first. The chances are they are gone but there is a slim chance they are still in the quarantine ffolder of the program. How long ago did they repair your computer?
  18. There is some protection for certain ransomware for example; www.superantispyware.com/malwaredailyfiles/2017-06-27.html In this list you can see wannacrypt.exe you may have to go through the others to see what other ransomwares are there, but these are changing daily as are the malware codes themselves so it's an ongoing process. I would wait until someone more informed answers though, as they will have more knowledge on these matters.
  19. The updates go out to systems before the page is updated that's all.
  20. And make sure you Backup! Backup! Backup! It saves so much hassle.
  21. Instability would be the main one I think, having to at times re-install certain drivers especially network cards etc just because of an update. I also don't agree that it's faster than other OSs, if you get down to it you'll find by default it's set to hibernate thus making it seem faster but turn that off and it's no different. Also it's a lot more automated, I don't like that. I want complete control over my system which is why I'm sticking with Vista as a Windows OS and Linux mainly as I begin full (as much as I can in my work) transition. I honestly believe MS have shot themselves in the foot with their new direction, maybe they're looking towards the corporate structure more and if so great for them, but I think they are on the bridge of a market share collapse. My opinion only of course.
  22. No I don't really go in for pentesting, I prefer forensics side of things.
  23. No worries, no harm done. I've never used fiverr so I don't know what their SEOs like. The only reason I said about the review thing is because people see through it and that makes them think twice. How long have you been using Kali?
