  1. Any updates on this? SAS still not detecting tracking cookies on Chromium Edge. Other software do, so it shouldn't be difficult to implement.
  2. I am thinking that it may be a bug, but I couldn't find how to bug report for SAS. It may be also that scanning certain files by the option "right click" and "scan" with SAS may not use the selected option "scan for tracking cookies". Anyway, I am looking for an alternative software until I get an advice.
  3. Hi, I just wanted to ask why SAS doesn't detect the tracking cookies when I directly scan just the Mozilla firefox profile folder. That is, if I go to Appdata/roaming and right click on Mozilla folder and scan with SAS, nothing is detected, but when I do a complete or quick scan several tracking cookies are detected in the profile folder (cookies.sqlite). Is there a way to scan just fireox and not the whole PC? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi, SAS detected today systweakasp_c.exe as a PUP. This software has been lying in my PC for quite some time and has never been detected before. Also it is a software that has not been developed since 2015, so I don't think it is a threat. The file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\CPUID\PC Wizard 2015 Checked virustotal and has 9 out of 64 detections. Could you please look into it and let me know if I should remove it? File is big to upload here, but let me know if you have another way, I may send it to you, if it is not dodgy.
  5. Both files are detected as PUP.InstallCore/Variant. They are both windows media player add-ons. I have used SAS inbuilt function to report them, too. https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/0427d92a2dd05aa3bb0bd0d6e7611e2ed1e2454dedb7f15c8556705f3cfc4ea3/analysis/1489581960/ https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/f9fa370e0b9b95442544fe485bed37a9538fb85c1938ec6c5f1422087aead35b/analysis/1489582144/
  6. Brilliant! It is OK now. Thank you very much.
  7. There is this file oem.exe located at C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Kingsoft\WPS Office\\office6\cfgs\oeminfo that SAS detects as trojan. However, I believe it to be false positive as it comes together with WPS Office which I have downloaded and installed from their original site. In virus total only SAS detects it as malware: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/5c265b933456ab42d327cba8f8f180c81521baeb008569e335740fdec7457c94/analysis/1461065930/ Please, look into it. Thanks a lot.
  8. I updated SAS but unfortunatelly the issue was not resolved. In virustotal only SAS identifies it as trojan: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/f597c85e9a1b900b7aed5ef3cff168a9806621722ebaa334dbd5bc52279e2ae7/analysis/1424716719/ EDIT: Sorry, just got confused with the time difference. Probably the database hasn't been updated yet. UPDATE: Issue Resolved. Thank you very much.
  9. Hi. I'd like to report 2 false positives. Submux.exe and submux.lnk are part of gabest vobsub and are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Gabest\Vobsub\submux.exe and in C:\ProgramData\microsoft\windows\start menu\programs\vobsub\submux.lnk Please update the virus definitions.Thank you
  10. PVD (Personal Video Database) software plugins amazon.dll, amazonde.dll, amazonfr.dll, amazonuk.dll detected as trojans by SAS. Virus total shows only SAS result as bad and the other 54 AV say it's safe. Please update the definitions. Thank you. https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/4cf9c3713dfd18941793062f01d23d003909db6b54330aa6726c947ac951afb8/analysis/1416939663/
  11. I have recently installed on my computer a firefox add-on called privacychoice trackerblock. One of its functions is to add opt-out cookies for certain websites that may be messing with one's privacy. Superantispyware detects those cookies as tracking cookies. I follow the procedure and delete them and the privacychoice adds them back. How can I avoid this and is there a reason to worry over those opt-out cookies? Thanks.
