  1. DooGie: In my experience SAS has only ever requested a reboot after tracking cookie removal if the files were related to Adobe Flash. Otherwise no reboot was needed. hmm? interesting!! thank you Seth: The last I heard, a reboot for cookie removal is required when the cookie is in use. However, you don't have to reboot at that time, as SAS will remove the cookies the next time you reboot. On the system in which you can't get SAS to activate: Will SAS update ok? Is your firewall set to allow SAS through? What is the exact error? What is the version of Windows, and is 32 or 64 bit? the cookie in use sounds plausible. as far as the activation thing, that was for this forum's activation/registration only. didn't have anything to do with installing or running sas. techincally, i shouldn't be able to post here yet, as the registration/activation link in the confimation e-mail never worked.
  2. of course i did!! the part that shows my real name is not important. the program is installed correctly.
  3. i just installed and updated this, both sections of the updates, 5 minutes before i posted, but this is the 5th machine i've installed it on. 2 more to go. 4. how come i always lose internet connection after doing any cleaning and how come only on some computers, a reboot is required? this product has never found anything other than a few tracking cookies, but really baffles me why a reboot is required at all for just that and not all the time or on all machines! when registering, as i just did, clicking the activation link gets me an error and copying and pasting the code manually does the same. i used to use this product way back when, but after it totally wiped out 2 of my systems by removing video drivers, i quit. just thought i'd try it again and i see it isn't much better, all the way from the point of registering here to it's actual use!! thank you
