  1. Is it better to uninstall an existing version of SAS and then install the latest version, or can I simply install the latest version over the top of the existing one? Thanks.
  2. I've just purchased the pro version of SuperAntiSpyware and the order confirmation says that the credit card charge will appear as Sammsoft.com followed by a string of numbers. I purchased my copy from the SuperAntiSpyware website, so who are Sammsoft?
  3. Hi Is it good enough to uninstall my PRO version of SAS using Programs and Features in Windows 7 or must I use the SAS Uninstaller Assistant?
  4. Hi Just purchased SAS licence for my wife's laptop running Vista 32bit. Do I need to set up any exclusions in SAS Pro and MSE when running both in real time? Regards
  5. Hi Seth Is that uninstaller OK for my 64 bit version of Windows 7?
  6. I've run scans with NOD32, Windows Defender as well as SAS and nothing is detected. To recap, during the installation process, I get the "SAS has been successfully installed message", the language option window then appears, then "SAS setup has stopped working" warning. After that the definitions download successfully and the main screen appears. When I uninstall SAS an entry for it still appears in the program list although not the SAS icon but a Windows file icon. When I click on that, Windows reports that an error occurred during the uninstall and it is removed. In the past the Windows uninstall has worked correctly.
  7. Hi I’ve tried to install SAS Free but each time during the setup process I get a warning that SAS Setup has stopped working. I’ve copied and pasted the details below: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: SUPERAntiSpyware.exe Application Version: Application Timestamp: 4c8e7845 Fault Module Name: SUPERAntiSpyware.exe Fault Module Version: Fault Module Timestamp: 4c8e7845 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0006de98 OS Version: 6.1.7600. Locale ID: 2057 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 The warning pops up just after a message that SAS has been successfully installed but before the language option screen. The definitions download OK. When I carry out a scan nothing is found. When I uninstall SAS, it appears to uninstall OK but after rebooting, a leftover entry appears in the Programs and Features list and various folders and shortcuts still remain. My OS is Windows 7 (64bit). I disable NOD32 during the installation. What is causing the problem and what is the best way to do a clean uninstall? Thanks for any advice on how to proceed.
  8. I see my post today along with others on the above have been removed and replaced by a sticky post. I was hoping for an answer, never mind. However, your sticky should refer to definition 5416, not 5616. Regards
  9. Thanks for your replies. Is there a separate version for 64-bit?
  10. Hi Can I use SuperAntispyware Free on Windows 7 64-bit?
  11. Hi Just downloaded SAS and a quick scan found the above, even though scan for tracking cookies was unchecked. Now quarantined. Is it OK to delete? What exactly is it? Regards
  12. Hi When downloading SuperAntiSpyware Online Safe Scan, a warning popped up informing me that "Windows has found a problem with this file. The file was blocked because it does not have a valid digital signature that verfies its publisher." Please advise me.
  13. Hi After downloading the SuperAntiSpyware online scanner, do you need to update the definitions before running the actual scan or is it already up-to-date? Also, are there any components of the program to remove afterwards. Thanks in advance.
