  1. i have a comp with a small amount of ram and im trying to make my comp faster. is it possible to disable the free version but still have it installed or is my only option to uninstall it altogether
  2. they tend to be links within a webpage if that makes sense for example on the page below there are links to maps of the hotel pictures etc. they sometimes work and sometimes dont.sometimes i get the double click @doubleclick[1].txt so if i double click quickly it works other times it wont work. had this same problem on a few sites. its only a few.the majority are ok but i wondered if it was a problem with adware or something more serious. can u advise on what the Adware.Vundo/Variant-Launch is.is it serious as ive never had it b4 and google hasnt really helped interms of a good explanation thanks for all your help. yes its the same with IE double click appears etc http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187849-d260952-Reviews-Aspromonte_Hotel-Milan_Lombardy.html

  5. hi. im using windows XP ive done a scan with kaspersky and nothing came up. ive just done one with SAS ( is use the free version) and the vundo is there as u can see below and 2 adware tracking cookies that i get alot.those tracking cookies have the same names as what i get sometimes when i try to open the link lucie@atdmt[2]txt and lucie@doubleclick[1]so are they connected? the vundo is in system volume information/restore it also ends in DLL after reading the below thread might this have something to do with my problem?? https://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php?/topic/3704-need-2-restoreget-files-out-of-quarantine/ Summary : Adware.Vundo/Variant-Launch.Process Company : Unknown Description : A variant of the SmitFraud/Vundo adware. 6. no i havnt. i wondered if i should but im not sure what the vundo variant is.ive googled but found nothing that confirms one way or the other. so i was abit worried incase it was something serious
  7. i started a seperate thread but im wondering if my below issues is cause of the variant and is it the same one as mentioned in this thread i use firefox but after quarantining some adware im having problems opening some links on websites. if i click on the link to open a new tab sometimes it comes up as double click gif image and other times it comes up as go.url(gif image 1x1 pixels) sometimes if i double click quickly the link works. other times the link works ok. this has just started happening after the quarantine so im wondering if its connected as some of the adware are the double click gif image i mentioned above and one is adware.vundo variant- launch.does that have anything to do with it and maybe its been quarantined when it shouldnt have?

  9. ive used DAP for a good while ut i updated it to the newer version a week or so back. after doing a scan with SAS ive had the same results.SAS said i had a Trojan.Agent/Gen same details as the original poster. i also use kaspersky so scanned with that and it showed no issues. so I presume its a false positive? SAS got rid of the trojans no problem. but can/has this been confirmed that it is a false positive? it there a way for it to be confirmed?
