    The software updates fine, but after 2 minutes in the scan I get the error popup to report it to Superantispyware and I've been doing this for over 2 months and still getting an error. I'm a Pro user. Please advise.
  4. Hoping for any direction. Tried updating today (15457) within program and via forced update (exe) download. Failed on both - tried several times - rebooted - still same. On the forced definition update it says Download def data > Complete - then Download unexpectedly large > Failure On regular updates > download incomplete Thanks for any help. (Windows 7 x64) - Using Avast AV (I did exclude sas and sas update exe files in Avast - no change)

Are these false positives? I hope so! Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon.

Just a FYI: when we deploy a definition update, there are usually a lot of changes rolled into it -- often including updates that are not mentioned specifically in the auto-generated release "notes" of additions and updates. The latest release includes all of the pending changes that have been queuing up since last week. We haven't lost any of the research work done since the problem began.

    What is Version 8.0.1038?

    Interesting! If I click on "What's New in this Release" using the icon in the Notification Area, it still shows version 8.0.1034! Like you, I'm actually running version 8.0.1038. Very odd! Zena
  12. I had the same thing too, but not now. Yesterday, I updated to version 8.0.1038 and since then the 2nd pop-up shown in NotNull's post above no longer appears even after a reboot. The first pop-up shown appeared after I ran a Quick Scan, but there's now a tick box underneath the pop-up which gives the option to tick "Don't Show Me This Again". You get this option whether or not anything's been found. This is in the Free version and the update to the latest version gets rid of the irritation! So somebody took notice of the complaint and did something about it - thank you! No need to uninstall as far as I'm concerned. Zena

  17. Today , April 10, 2019 , I was at Version 8.0.1034. I got a pop-up message that there was an update to the program. After applying the update the Version changed to 8.0.1038. However your website states that the newest version is 8.0.1036? So , what is 8.0.1038???? Thank you!

    I got a reply to an email saying 'we're going to remove this from the software.' I told them to let me know when they do, as I've had to uninstall it. On a related note, Kaspersky Free seems to run faster than SAV...just saying. larry
  19. Can you please give us the ability to turn this ad thing off? This is like having an adblocker addon serve you up ads. No. No thanks. Stop. Whoever brought this up in a meeting was wrong. Bad wrong. The ones that said your loyal users would be peeoed and ditch you were right. I have really liked your product for second opinion and quick file scans. I still want to be friends and paid for you in the past for a computer but you are testing our friendship. Push a release that lets us turn this off or we split. thanks, mainer

    No response from tech support means (to me, at least) that this is the new 'normal'. Just uninstalled SuperAnti, going to another product. Too intrusive. Larry

  23. Hi Cyberchief, Sorry for the delay in the response. We've been having some issues with our definition release infrastructure and we're working on getting it resolved. I haven't heard of an ETA on when this will get fixed but I assure you our team is giving it top priority. Regards, Geoff

  25. The definition updates have not occurred since Friday. I know there is a weather problem but, what's the deal with the updates? The definition was 15433 on Thursday and it changed to 15435 on Friday and it has been that way since. Any possible explanation? Any sort of Notice would be appreciated.
  26. I just can't explain but after I've installed SAS, my internet turns off regularly. Provider says it's ok on his side. Could it be a kind of connection between network working and antivirus software?

Ok after rummaging round various settings, regedits, alternate starts etc, it appears to be built into the very application itself and is directly involved with support.com tech help this only showing on the free version however, the subscribed version is not affected. How long the ad(s) last for I have no idea it may be just until the next update but a member of the Admin team would know more. Sorry I can't be more help here.
