only one sas tray icon link works

Thanks Seth for suggestions, but alas couldn't get the links to stay open. Well to say that they come up for a fraction of milliseconds/microseconds and then disapear complenty. Forgot to inform you of that in my first post. I also thnk the firefall may be the cause. will do some further checking and let you know what if anything I found.
  2. Only one link works in the sas tray icon, that one is "check for updates" Rig:Xp pro Firewall:Online armor(free) hips deactivated Avast 4.8 (free) These links have always worked in the past. First thought was a firewall problem/, nothing in their log shows a blockage of sas entries Removed SAS twice and reinstalled. Downloads were always from Superantispyware.com
  3. datasafe, try a powerfull rootkit detector called Avenger, it is free. view http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/avenger2/avenger2.html

    Trojan.Agent/Gen-Pikr

To late to edit. That is it has an option to do that. A regular user of Superantispyware.

Malwarebytes does a pretty good job of removing hard to remove files.

    Flash Cookies

I too found lots of flash cookies left after using Ccleaner. I like the free utility "Flash Cookie Cleaner 1.0" for viewing and deleting flash cookies. It can be downloaded from http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/10969256

    Flash Cookies

Does SAS have the ability to delete flash cookies. If not, would SAS perhaps have this ability perhaps down the road. Some info on flash cookies is at http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2009/08/ ... ink-again/
  9. Say when one does an SAS update today and then does a system restore later in the day. Are the updates for today lost forever?

    shutting down computer

For those running XP, I was wandering if UPHClean could clear up this. I've only had this happen once/twice in a long period of time. Have UPHClean installed, don't think it has happened since installation of UPHClean.

Sorry Superantspyware, I have already deleted it. I am checking HijackThis daily. If it or some unusual entry shows up, I will duly look at the full registry path.
