5.5.1012 now available but d/l file shows as 5.5.1006

11 July 2012 - 10:05 AM

The title says it all.

Decided not to wait to be automatically notified of version 5.5.1006 so went straight to the download site. Was told I was downloading 5.5.1006 but when I installed, programme says it is 5.5.1012.

No release notes regarding difference between the two.

Definition updates not available (again)

29 May 2012 - 09:30 AM

My definition update shows 8650
Version 5.0.1148

Says definitions were updated 3 days ago yet when I check for updates I am told they are up to date (after 3 days?)

Lack of weekend updates

21 February 2012 - 09:27 AM

I don't want to make too much of a fuss because I'm using the free version (5.0.1144), although I wouldn't be so restrained if I was using the paid for version.

The last definition update available is 8260. This was released on 17/02/12 (Friday). Have just checked for updates on 21/02/12 (Tuesday) and nothing new available.

This seems to be a regular pattern.

Three days without updates is not really goog enough.

Unfortunately, the idiots who produce malware do not have weekends off!

5.0.1142 release notes?

16 December 2011 - 06:24 AM

What's changed from version 5.0.1136 to 5.0.1142?

Release notes on the download page only show changes made when 5.0.1136 was released.

Definition updates?

24 October 2011 - 08:25 AM

I have noticed that since the upgrade to version 5+, definition updates do not seem to be issued on weekends.

Please note that this is an observation, not a complaint, especially as I use the free version.

I figure that people are entitled to weekends off.

Not too sure if I would feel the same if I had the paid-for version though and don't know if the same thing applies.

It seems to me that the sad idiots who get a kick out of messing up people's computers are most active at weekends when more people are online.

Thinking back, I am sure I remember receiving definition updates at weekends when I had version 4+. Is there a specific reason for this change of policy?
