PUP.BundleInstaller/Variant Found but not able to remove

8 posts in this topic

Greetings,

I love SUPERAntiSpyware as it removes almost everything.

I update my protection everyday.

It finds the PUP.BundleInstaller/Variant but can not remove it.

I have the free version.

I am behind a corporate firewall running Windows 7 64 bit.

What do I need to do to remove this?

Thank you in advance,

John L

PS - I tried searching through here before posting - no good :(

Hi GuiltySpark,

Love the blue eyes - I can't believe they are using my I am SO Serious LinkedIn photo!

So I reread the error message and it is pointing to convertlite which is a legit program.  I flagged it as OK.

So my issue is solved - thank you for getting me to read!

It sounds like the Installer is being flagged, where did you download it from? (converterlite)

Well their site does state :

additional software may be offered via opt-in ads durimg the installation process

I would try adwcleaner to see if that removes it, if not let us know and we'll try to see what's going on.

Hello jloz66,

I installed ConverterLite directly from their website however nothing was detected by SAS.

I would like you to fill out a customer support ticket and we should be able to determine what is going on.
