My definition update shows 8650
Version 5.0.1148

Says definitions were updated 3 days ago yet when I check for updates I am told they are up to date (after 3 days?)

LOL nice that you can see the funny side of it - same here.

On a more serious note, the idiots that try to destroy our computers don't seem to take holidays - nor do they have SUNDAYS OFF.

Progress: Slowly but surely. The new definition guys are off-site and we're having technical difficulties getting them up and running, but it's coming.

That was over 4 months ago with the technical difficulties. :-(
Still NO updates on weekends or Holidays. :-(

"but it's coming", WHEN ? Give us a approx. date PLEASE !

Maybe the problem's been resolved now as I was able to update to defs Core: 8661 and Trace: 6473 a few minutes ago. I even got the version update to 5.0.1150 - it must be my lucky day!

I don't think the Update on Weekend & Holiday problem is solved yet. :-(
Customers paying or paid (Lifetime) for this software (when updates were 24/7), would like to know when will SAS be updating 24/7 Holidays included :?:

I don't think it's getting or going to get any better. There are no weekend updates, and when there is a program update you have to get them from some other source. Things seem to be getting worse all the time for such a great or should I say use to be great piece of software. There is always an excuse for why something didn't happen or a guesstimation of what to expect. No weekend updates, and program updates are two (2) weeks late with a recent date so that it doesn't look so bad. I have a suggestion. Since the servers are free on the weekend due to no definition updates, why don't you use that down time for program updates? It's really bad when you are accustomed to having a great piece of software with updates, program and definition updates turn into an on demand scanner. Cannot use scheduled scanning due to the lack of updates. I guess the hackers are off on the weekend also in your part of the world? All sorts of problems have come up since the company has changed hands, subscription expired issues, lack of definition and program updates and a bucket full of excuses why. The truth will set you free, if you have bitten off more than you can chew, fess up and stop the excuses. With the state of the economy the way it is and so many people are looking for work weekends included why is there such a shortage where you are? I said my piece and I will probably be banned permanently for these comments so, ALOHA........ :-(

I can't see how you can be banned. You told it like it is. A member posts questions and you get no answers, not even "were looking into it". I gave up with this software as Real-time and it looks like some of the old timers on this forum gave up too because I don't see them posting anymore. I use it as a on demand scanner now even with a "Lifetime Pro" License for 4 computers. This is SAD. :-(

I really hate beating up on a dead horse but, the updates have been in the works for the last four months. Why didn't he post that here instead of there? People who have Lifetime subscriptions can afford to wait for you all to get it together but, people who purchase an annual subscription will not renew due to this never ending situation. Seems like you're cutting your nose off to spite your face?

Michael G from SAS customer "service" is quite a saint if you ask me, he's just doing his best with no help from (you know who) who claimed the change of ownership was going to improve everything, so far NOTHING.

Amazing how those better resources have amounted to............................"Show me the money"...please. :)

Regarding the link to Wilders Security, it seems that people there aren't happy either. Have a look at the whole page instead of just one post:

No one is getting banned for expressing a concern. We have continued program updates as usual since the acquisition and have expanded our research team to become more effective as well - we will be doing weekend updates again within the next two weeks. Program updates have happened just as they have done prior to acquisition - we ALWAYS provide new downloaders updates first and then our update servers distribute the updates over time as to not flood the systems with updates. I notice how you haven't commented, or didn't notice, that our download speeds are greatly improved since acquisition and we have migrated to a CDN to provide fast and effecient downloads and updates. A few people (a micro % portion of the user base) had some issues with expiration and those situations were handled immediately. I understand that it's the vocal minority that makes it seem like there have been "many issues" - but the thruth is, things have been very smooth since the acquisition - things change, as they always do, but we are as committed as ever to the product and pushing our technology forward.

Our updates having been coming our regularly as they always have - nothing is disabled nor doesn't work in the product - we provide many updates each an every day as you can see here:
http://www.superanti...atehistory.html

I noticed you convenitently don't mention the fact that the number of definitions being produced has gone up drastically over the past year - or are you only after negatives and not positives? :)

When I mentioned updates I was referring to the weekend ones, that hasn't changed. The weekly updates have been like you say on the increase, but the weekend ones are still nonexistant. The hackers and others don't take the weekend off, and that's why I just use the program as an on demand scanner. If the post had been read correctly it and the others were talking about the weekend updates . The other problem was program updates.
