That's OK by me if it is correct, I hope you enjoyed a break. But if there have been updates since, please advise on what I should do.

SAS response to this virilent threat is to take off for the holidays. Now, I believe everyone should have time off. But, like police and firefighters, that is not the type of business they are in, someone needs to be on duty, vigilant all the time. Threats don't stop for holidays, if anything, they increase, as the link details. The last SAS update was 10am pacific time on Friday. It will now be Tuesday before they release the next update. That's 4 days.
Be extra careful. But then, how do you know which pages you visit might be part of the 1 million+ now infected?

Since the company has changed hands the updates have really gone down the drain. There are no updates on the weekends, and now the definition hasn't been updated since 30 December. How many ways can a company fail? Not supporting their product is a good way to start. Threats are generally more aggressive on holidays because so many people are on their computers. The big problem is with the lack of definition updates and program updates have really caused some to look to other programs for the same as this one use to support. Whether you have a lifetime subscription or and annual one updates are part of the process. Before the changing of ownership this was not a problem, since the change it all of the problem. Why would you reccomend a product that has very little support? Even this Forum has suffered from the change. It seems like they want to loose sales and repeat business. Once I read about the discussion of lifetime versus annual subscriptions. The comment said if you give something for a lifetime you loose money because no one has to buy the program. What about people who have a lifetime subscription telling their friends about a worthwhile program that actually does what it says. There are a lot of ways to generate sales, the best way I know is with satisfied customers who recommend your product to friends and family. This needs to get better or the millions already sold will be the statistic remembered, with no increase in sales.

New ways of deploying definitions in off-periods are in the works. We've also hired more malware researchers; once everything is up and running SAS will be better than ever.
Thanks for the reply. At least we all know what's happening now.
Sounds Good!

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! I AM FURIOUS WITH YOU PEOPLE. I think I'm going to switch to a product whose owners DON'T decide THEY'RE NOT IN THE MOOD to provide UPDATES!
GOD only knows how much has gone wrong because of your breach of trust (and probably contract!).
I have the PAID version, which used to be all right (although it still doesn't scan Opera folders & files!) - just more MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN.
Thanks for NOTHING.

Is there any idea or guess what target date everything will "be up and running"?

It has been exactly two (2) weeks since the hiring of the new personnel and no change in anything. Sounds like the political candidates, say what is needed and not worry about when you can get it done or not.May be the personnel hired are just drawing a salary with no output, really sounds like " The election of 2012 candidates to me".I can hardly wait to see when SAS will be better than ever.
