About the real-time scanner

Recommended Posts

Hi Nick,

After using the real-time feature for some time I have to say that I'm impressed with the improvements that you made on the lasts versions... :D

Now it makes the same job but use much less CPU!

I would like to suggest you to split the real-time scanner from the rest of the application, to avoid to use a lot of useless RAM... Currently it use 31,3MB.

Keep the excellent work!

Best Regards,

VC

Thanks for the compliment and suggestion. The real-time component actually does not consume any more RAM than not having it. The definition set is what takes the majority of the memory. Windows manages memory well, so all the unused memory is swapped out.
