  1. False Positives for Renee

https://www.virustotal.com/#/home/upload detects the submitted installers to be the virus. But these are very formal software instead of virus. Could you please add the submitted software to the white list? Or could you please tell us how to add them to the white list of your anti-virus software? Thank you for your assistant. 3. I've turned in a false positive report five days ago but did not get an answer. Can anybody speed up that answer, please? The problem with those false positives is that all concerned files are removed although that I marked them to be no thread. They are PGP files, by the way, or so called self decrypting archives (SDAs). What can I do in order not to lose those files again? Thanks, guys, for your support.
  4. Problem with renewal

I am having a terrible time with the renewal on two of my computers and need help NOW. I sent an email this morning but have heard nothing back. When the false positives happened yesterday, I realized that two of my computers had expired subscriptions, so I went in the renew them. First I tried to click the "renew" link, but when that didn't work we uninstalled the software, thinking we would just download a fresh copy. However we paid online and downloaded, but it picked up the old license and won't let us enter the new license and still show us as expired. Because of the false positive in the last update it keeps popping up saying it's finding this Trojan, but won't update because it says the software is expired. I'm so frustrated right now I'm tempted to just switch to different software. This false positive yesterday cost me an entire day of work, only to find out today that it was a false alarm. Needless to say, I'm one PO'd customer right now. If you don't get me a solution in the next few hours I'm switching to something else!
  5. My laptop is protected by a multi-tude of malware scanners. Real time protection is provided by NORTON 360, and Microsoft Security Essentials. I know you're only supposed to have 1 full time scanner, but MSE is well rated, and won't give me a choice to ONLY do manual scans. I also run scans periodically SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes, PC Matic, Micrsoft Malicous Software Removal Tool, Microsoft Stand alone System Sweeper (Beta), Microsoft Security Scanner. Only my SuperAntiSpyware "discovers/detects" Adware.HBHelper and Browser Hijacker.Adbar. When I use SuperAntiSpyware to remove the "threats" my SPEEDBIT VIDEO DOWNLOADER doesn't work anymore. I suspect that Speedbits plug in on my IE is the source of the "threats". I really use that video downloader often for my church. Can it really be that only SuperAntiSpyware can detect these threats.....or are they false positives that I should ignore? Below is the report of the scan: UPERAntiSpyware Scan Log http://www.superantispyware.com Generated 12/15/2011 at 11:26 AM Application Version : 5.0.1136 Core Rules Database Version : 8054 Trace Rules Database Version: 5866 Scan type : Quick Scan Total Scan Time : 00:06:54 Operating System Information Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Service Pack 1 (Build 6.01.7601) UAC On - Limited User Memory items scanned : 590 Memory threats detected : 0 Registry items scanned : 60881 Registry threats detected : 8 File items scanned : 11187 File threats detected : 10 Adware.HBHelper (x86) HKCR\CLSID\{CA3EB689-8F09-4026-AA10-B9534C691CE0} (x86) HKCR\CLSID\{CA3EB689-8F09-4026-AA10-B9534C691CE0}\InprocServer32 (x86) HKCR\CLSID\{CA3EB689-8F09-4026-AA10-B9534C691CE0}\InprocServer32#ThreadingModel (x86) HKCR\CLSID\{CA3EB689-8F09-4026-AA10-B9534C691CE0}\ProgID (x86) HKCR\CLSID\{CA3EB689-8F09-4026-AA10-B9534C691CE0}\TypeLib (x86) HKCR\CLSID\{CA3EB689-8F09-4026-AA10-B9534C691CE0}\VersionIndependentProgID Browser Hijacker.Deskbar (x86) HKCR\Interface\{4897BBA6-48D9-468C-8EFA-846275D7701B} (x86) HKCR\Interface\{4897BBA6-48D9-468C-8EFA-846275D7701B}\ProxyStubClsid32 Adware.Tracking Cookie C:\USERS\DJ PETE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\2VAZSPPL.txt [ Cookie:dj pete@.../ ] C:\USERS\DJ PETE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\926Q9TA2.txt [ Cookie:dj pete@.../ ] C:\USERS\DJ PETE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\RTRT5Z6M.txt [ Cookie:dj pete@.../ ] C:\USERS\DJ PETE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\T8P3V0S9.txt [ Cookie:dj pete@.../ ] C:\USERS\DJ PETE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\8ZNX18PW.txt [ Cookie:dj pete@.../ ] C:\USERS\DJ PETE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\EIEJ81I6.txt [ Cookie:dj pete@.../ ] C:\USERS\DJ PETE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\GQ21XPRT.txt [ Cookie:dj pete@.../cgi-bin ] C:\USERS\DJ PETE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\LCT7XYZZ.txt [ Cookie:dj pete@.../ ] C:\USERS\DJ PETE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\EX9U2UYL.txt [ Cookie:dj pete@.../ ] C:\USERS\DJ PETE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\ZONJSIU0.txt [ Cookie:dj pete@.../ ] I just want to mention that the scan above was AFTER I scanned with all my other anti-malware solutions, and then even rebooted the computer. Then immediately ran SuperAntiSpywares QUICK scan. What say the experts? Thank you.....Pete
