  1. I think I am going to have a long break from the website, at the moment it's lying idle with the default themes. Might find idea's easier to come by when I get back to it.
  2. Hey all. Just a little background info: I have been running a small website for a couple of months, and saw very little activity. I offered free computer advice and fixes etc. I also wrote a few tutorials on how to fix virus, software, and hardware related issues etc. Also a few other random articles related to computers. No one really seemed interested in the site unfortunately, so I removed it. I really would like to set up a free service for people, but it never seems to take off. I have started another site, with a similar theme but am lost as what to post on it, or whether it's even worth the effort. No one found the old site, no one seemed interested in the fix's posted there. This is probably because of all the over well known computer support sites that already exist drawing traffic etc. So onto the point of this post. I was wondering if I could ask what this community might like to see from a site such as this? Would you like A remote support service? A forum? No forum just one page with a list of tutorials? Both? And lastly and most importantly, is it even worth setting a website like this up? Any thoughts or ideas posted are welcome, and much appreciated! Cheers , Owl.
  3. That's a fantastic site you have there. I am signing up Haha, think I have to agree with you on the name change, good call! (Not that it's a bad name but I'd be expecting something other than a computer site to pop up!) I never used too, but I have been finding myself using it far more recently! (Because it suggests videos based on the likes) Hmm, yeah. Maybe you're right about the rating system. Might leave that out.
  4. Hey Guilty, Yeah, I'm proceeding with this as more of a hobby than a real buisiness. You're defiantly right about gimmicks, I will have to do a bit of brain storming for one of my own!I guess there are websites out there that review for free? I will look into that. Some great advice - thank you! I Was thinking maybe a 'Tutorial Rating' for the quality of the tutorial written. But that does bring a risk of people just down voting it to be spiteful, especially at the beginning when one vote would be a lot of influence on the result.
  5. Just a bit of fun, not sure how accurate the test is. Here's my score Take the test: http://www.free-iqtest.net/score.asp
  6. Haha, thanks! Me either.
  7. Sorry.
  8. Hey, easy on the sarcasm.
  9. I had that problem too Jahn when I tried to share it the first time
  10. Haha, that's a good score! I think the only reason I got my result was because I had taken an IQ test earlier with similar questions, on a different site.
  11. Yep, but It's always nice to have a solution posted for other members to see.
  12. SAS 6.0.1232 detects unlocker as a virus after a system scan. Adware.MultiVariant C\users\Me\me-pc\unlocker1.9.2 EXE It is true that the installer contains freeware, but they are optional.

  14. rjzdanis Please let me know if that helped or you still need help. Cheers!
  15. Hey, rzj What SAF Version do you have installed? Please make sure you have the latest SAS, if not download them here: Free Edition users click HERE for 6.0.1232 Professional Edition users click HERE for 6.0.1232 & run a scan That (may) Have fixed the problem, if not: Can you go to (x86) HKU\S-1-5-82-3006700770-424185619-1745488364-794895919-4004696415\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENTVERSION\WINLOGON# in your windows file browser and post a screen shot or copy and paste the names of the registry files for me? Also, You can try unlocking the file with unlocker and then re-scanning with SAS, it should hopefully work after unlocking the registry file. Unlocker Direct Download: http://www.majorgeeks.com/index.php?ct=files&action=download& About Unlocker: http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/unlocker.html Remember to use 'Custom Install' and uncheck all the boxes (unless you want them) when installing unlocker as it will try to install freeware programs.
  16. Glad you got it sorted out Pharkit!
  17. Hello, I'm not part of the SAS Forum team but I think I can help. First I need to know a few things: What OS System are you running Windows/mac/Linux etc 32/64 bit? In c:/windows/ Do you have a folder called syswow64? (Windows location)
  18. Think you have a virus? Here's what to do: First Download: SUPERAntispyware Download:http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html (free or Pro trial) Malwarebytes: https://www.malwarebytes.com/ (Free or Premium) Then: Install SUPERAntispyware and Malwarebytes. (Restart computer if prompted) Run SUPERAntispyware as administrator (right click the programs Icon -> Run as Administrator). Wait for it to load. Update your database by clicking 'click here to check for updates' on the main home screen of SUPERAntispyware. Now: Click on 'Scan this computer' in SUPERAntispyware. Recommended Pre-Scan Actions: Check/Tick all the Recommended Pre-Scan Actions boxes. (Pro needed for Malware Database updates option) Scanner Options: Check/Tick the 'Enable Rescue Scan' box Check/Tick the 'Active Scan Boost' and also choose the 'High boost' Option Check/Tick the 'Scan Internet browser tracking cookies' box Check/Tick the 'Scan inside ZIP archives' box Start the scan by clicking on the 'Complete Scan' option. Now wait for the scan to finish. Once the scan has finished, it will give you some options if any issues were found: Remove/Delete Quarantine (recommended) - Then If prompted restart the computer. Next: Run Malwarebytes as Administrator (right click the programs Icon -> Run as Administrator) Click the update option if it doesn't update automatically. Click on the 'Scan' tab at the top of the program's window. Click on 'Threat Scan' and wait for it to finish. Once finished, if there was anything found you will be prompted to: Delete (Recommended) Quarantine - Any issues found. If prompted, restart your computer. Finished! Hopefully, by this point, any Viruses/Malware etc. will have been removed. I hope this helped. If you continue to have problems, please feel free to let me know below, and I will try to provide help the best I can. I do not work with SUPERAntispyware nor am I part of the SAS forum staff I just thought I'd make this as it has always worked for me.
  19. Future Updates.
  20. Hey, Just a thought on the website and activity, there don't seem to many active posting members here which is a shame. Maybe you could do some promotions/giveaways on Twitter/Facebook to people who sign up? Maybe a month off SUPERAntispyware Pro free. Just a suggestion, it would be nice to see this forum more active.
  21. Oh sorry, so they do
  22. Hello, I know it's possible, I was just wondering if anyone knew a free program that was reliable? The last one I used corrupted my php code.
