  1. I have had a delay getting back to this tread. It has been an interesting month. One of the delays was trying to find out what had cut my computer speed by about half. After running the link above the problem was fixed. I run MSE, Malwarebytes pro and SuperAntiSpyware pro on a Win7-64HP machine. Thanks for the link. I sure did spend a lot of time looking for the problem that was slowing my computer down but am very happy now. I hope this info helps you.
  2. I found it. I must click on the gear icon in "Scheduled Scanning" to see the settings, but it was set to scan at midnight and the box to "Automatically quarantine and remove treats" was checked. I clicked on the save button and I will see what happens tomorrow.
  3. SAS6 Every morning when I get to the computer the SAS6 GUI is on the screen telling me that it ha found some treats and I have to manually remove any cookies etc. . I cannot find a way to get SAS6 to do this automatically. Is there a way to set SAS to remove treats without me doing it manually?
  4. I do like the new SAS6 but it does seem ridiculous that it does not recognize such popular programs as Macrium Reflect, Tuneup Utilities , Libre Office Geforce VGA card, Brother stuff. as not being malware and must be approved each and every file singularly. I had to approve many files on some of these programs, like hundreds. Can you at least fix SAS so that when installing a program that all the contents of a new folder are OK? I even had to approve some Microsoft files. Oh yes, and thank go to SAS_Dave for helping me get SAS 6 working.
  5. Update to SuperAntiSpyware6 Pro messes up

Thanks very much. I downloaded a new update of program and it installed OK. I like both the skin and guts of it It is a very good improvement. I expect that it will recognize more of the browsers and popular programs in the future as OK. It will take me a few days to check all the unknowns but then it should fly. I already found one I was happy to remove.
  6. Update to SuperAntiSpyware6 Pro messes up

I am a Bit more familiar with The Windows Event Viewer now. "You are not permitted to load this kind of file." Also it will not paste. Come guys, I can't post a .docx file but I can a .doc file.....LOL. SAS 6.doc SAS 61.doc
  7. Update to SuperAntiSpyware6 Pro messes up

just in case it might help; Mobo Biostar H77MU3 CPU i7-3770 LGA1155 Win7-64 HP VGA GeForce 9600GT 1024MB 4....DIMM DDR3 2GB 1600Mhz I shut down everything on installs but Microsoft Security Essentials stays on, but this is one of the most commonly used A/V's.
  8. I tried to update to SUPERAntiSpyware Pro 6 this morning and although System Explorer shows that I have SAScore.exe running I cannot get a GUI for the program nor are there any Help files. When I click on "Start; All Programs; Help" all I get is a small window telling me that there is no file. Clicking on SUPERAntiSpyware Alternate Start does not bring up the GUI either. I have Win7-64 HP. I downloaded another copy of the installer and it did the same thing. I uninstalled the program before installing the new copy. Each time I shut down all programs before uninstalling or installing the program. I also deleted the "Program Files; SUPERAntiSpyware" folder each time. I use Wise Program Uninstaller and it cleans out the registry and looks for any other parts of the program as does CCleaner. I looked in your FAQ's and followed the instructions as per the following... http://superantspyiware.com/supportfaqdisplay.html?faq=71 and it gave me version five back. Any helpful ideas as to how I can get version six?
  9. Freezes and Win 7 compatibility query.

Will our Registration Number work with the new 64bit update or will we have purchase a new one?
  10. New computer...Win 7-64 in an Intel i7 mobo. I started freezes after installing SAS Pro and the event viewer tells me that "SASUTIL.sys has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with the system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver." Is SAS pro supposed to work in Win 7? Can you help me?
